Job Description

Our public sector client, based in East Renfrewshire has a temporary requirement for a Traffic & Lighting Inspector. This will be based in the Thornliebank area of Glasgow. Home working for the time being. Monday - Friday working pattern, flexitime - 35per week. The post will be temporary for a 3 month period initially, which after review, may be extended.The rate of pay will be between £101.63 per day . expected to travel to and from their place of work. A vehicle will be made available to undertake site visits.A basic disclosure Scotland certificate dated within last 12 months is required for this role.Duties

  • Involved in the delivery of ongoing maintenance and renewal of street lighting, traffic signals, traffic signs, road safety, pedestrian crossings, traffic calming and road markings.
  • There will be an initial focus on assisting with traffic management through Traffic Regulations Orders, inspecting and ensuring all associated signing and lining is compliant and to coordinate and supervise all remedial works.
Essential skills
  • Specific roads related knowledge is essential and an ONC/HNC qualification in a relevant discipline would be desirable.
