Job Description

Our client, a major global engineering firm with expertise in the design and delivery projects in the water and wastewater infrastructure sector are looking to expand their team in Scotland by adding a Temporary Works Engineer with a background in the waterindustry.Working on the Scottish Water Framework our client has projects in various locations throughout Scotland. As the Temporary Works Engineer you will support the project team from engagement to completion and be accountable for all aspects of the TemporaryWorks planning.You will consider all options, stages and costs involved before presenting your report to the Project Manager for consideration. You will ensure all work is executed to the highest standard and that they comply with the Scottish Water regulations.Key Task and responsibilities include;

  • Ensure compliance in maintain by conducting regular reviews of Temporary work procedures and processes.
  • Prepare and source temporary works costings for the estimating team.
  • Advise on the appropriate temporary works methodologies.
  • Prepare and check a variety of temporary works designs.
  • Prepare temporary works sections of Project Delivery Plans
  • Assist the team with SEPA applications.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to the delivery team.
  • Regular communication with various teams and the client.
  • Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site
To apply for the role you should be;
  • Educated to a minimum of HNC level in Civil Engineering.
  • Have previous experience on Scottish Water projects.
  • Have experience working within a principal contracting environment.
  • Previous experience working in a temporary work role is desirable.
  • Able to work in various locations across Scotland.
  • Full UK driving license.
