Job Description

Temp Operatives (Elections)Glasgow G21DUShort term temporary work (Mid-March)Excellent hourly ratesOur team working in our 3D Multi-Sector Division have worked with this employer for circa 15+ years successfully managing Scottish Local, General and By-Elections and the Scottish Referendum.3D Personnel Ltd. have now been retained on an exclusive’ basis to assist this employer with the hire of a volume of suitable temporary staff to work across multiple council sites in Scotland for upcoming Election events - namely a Glasgow By-Election in Mid-March and also 2021 Local Election events across various locations in Scotland in April and May.The role:Duties include opening, sorting, scanning and checking votes/election documents in a timely manner whilst adhering to tight deadlines. You may be asked to partake in other related as deemed necessary.Rates:The rate of pay will be at the Real National Living Wage plus holiday pay (paid per hour) and a higher hourly rate for unsocial hours. This rate will be paid to all staff. Note - Travel /parking expenses are not covered.Requirements:You should be well educated ideally to GCSE Level or higher/equivalent and have demonstrable good basic admin. and numeracy skills and ideally previous recent/relevant experience working in a role that involves administrative duties.You should be capable of following basic instructions to meet specified timelines/deadlines.You should have at least basic IT skills such as keyboard/data input experience.Candidates who have experience dealing with volume paperwork are particularly sought after.You should be able to use your own initiative and work under minimal supervisionYou must have fluent spoken and written English and be a good communicator.You will have full legal working rights to work in the U.K. and hold the relevant work permit to demonstrate this (if applicable) and be able to present valid up-to-date ID when requested.Additional information:Most sites work between 8am/9am and 5/6pm though some sites may start earlier or finish later due to demand and therefore flexibility is vital and late evenings and early mornings may be required.Some sites due to smaller polling numbers may work less hours on less days, subject to project demands.Most sites will not work weekends, though some may.Suitable candidates must be available to work all hours on all days/dates as requested, wherever possible.Our client intends that every shift will be no shorter in duration than 4 hours as a minimum, however in exceptional circumstances where this is not the case and a shift does happen to be shorter than 4 hours, each individual already working on this shift will still be paid for a min. of 4 hours regardless.Process/ Interested/ How to applyDo you have adequate spare timeMaybe you are working but can arrange some time off OR perhaps you are currently unemployed and would like some short-term well paid and enjoyable interim temp workIf you are interested in these roles, please get in touch by sending your CV as a first step.Please noteWe also invite expressions of interest for upcoming similar projects commencing circa Mid/Late April lasting until 6th May 2021 in the following locations.Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Fife, Stirling and Clackmannanshire.Additional Information:We and our client reserve the right to enhance the short-listing criteria where and when this is deemed necessary.
