Job Description

Technical Sales Manager - Sustainable Building Products Job Title: Technical Sales Manager - Sustainable Building ProductsIndustry Sector: Technical Sales Manager, Technical Manager, Eco-Friendly Building Products, Ecological, Sustainable Building Products, Insulation, Insulation Boards, Acoustic Insulation, Air Tightness, High Performance Buildings, Passivhaus, Low EnergyBuildings, Breathable Buildings, Membranes, Insulation, Tapes, Seals, AdhesivesArea to be covered: Scotland (ideally based central belt)Remuneration: £35,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) + £4,000 bonus Benefits: full expensed company car & benefits packagesThe role of the Technical Sales Manager - Sustainable Building Products will involve:

  • Technical Sales Manager position selling a high quality range of sustainable / eco-friendly products such as: airtight systems, insulation, structural boards, attic hatches, tapes, membranes, adhesives etc
  • Providing eco-friendly solutions for buildings for example: wind & air tightness, damp & mould, passivhaus, heat & cold, soundproofing and ventilation
  • Provide u value calculations, condensation risk analysis and possible hygrothermal analysis
  • Provide full technical support to our customers in terms of evaluating drawings and optimizing thermal performance and airtightness of the building envelope
  • 40% of your time will be spent generating specifications with architects, surveyors and specifiers
  • 40% with homeowners and remaining 20% of our time will be spent selling to specialist sub contractors and end users such as: timber frame contractors
  • Will be targeted on KPIs rather than revenue
  • Will have high technical input
  • Provide hand on training to customers and other members of staff
  • Dealing with order values ranging from £1k - £250k per project
The ideal applicant will be Technical Sales Manager - Sustainable Building Products with:
  • Must be from a technical related product background such as: insulation, passivhaus, airtight & windtight systems, membranes, structural boards, hatches, sealants adhesives
  • Must have dealt with architects, surveyors, homeowners etc
  • Must understand passivhaus principles, building regulation knowledge, u value and dew point analysis
  • Must have commercial knowledge (pricing, tender bids for large projects etc. ideally experienced in sales of products with a sustainable / green bias)
  • Ideally have a degree or a certified passivhaus designers, consultant, contractor or have a retrofit qualification
  • Work as part of a close knit committed and dedicated team
  • Must have a technical sales approach
