Job Description

RECRUITMENTiQ is working in partnership with the largest sheet plant in Scotland making corrugated cardboard boxes and packaging in their search for a skilled Systems Manager.the business are experts in delivering bespoke corrugated boxes, pallet packs, display packaging and supply chain solutions across a variety of industry sectors, the Boxshop team has the manufacturing capability, structure and expertise to make it possible.We are looking to appoint a self-motivated and flexible individual to join the team as Systems Manager.The new Systems Manager will be accountable for ensuring that the Quality, Hygiene and Environmental Management Systems align with the strategic direction of the business.Key Accountabilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain all relevant procedures required to maintain certification to ISO9001, ISO 14001, BRCGS and FSC across multiple sites.
  • Ensure that the Quality, Hygiene and Environmental Management Systems align with the strategic direction of the business.
  • Provide support and technical expertise to resolve any quality, hygiene, or environmental issues, which arise throughout the companys continued development.
  • Introduce new systems and procedures where appropriate.
  • Undertake regular multi-site audits to ensure continued compliance with all required standards.
  • Undertake corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities found.
  • Update standards documentation and communicate to carry forward lessons learned from audit or process observation concerns.
  • Hold quarterly audit performance meetings within the business.
  • Ensure that all necessary systems and procedures are in place to satisfy all customer requirements and audits.
  • Reporting of sustainability metrics and drive improvement in performance
  • Responsibility for customer quality management and communication (i.e., KPI reporting)
  • Responsibility for supply quality management with existing and new suppliers.
  • Analyse quality costs and initiate measures to control and reduce costs.
  • Support the Operational Teams to drive systems improvements.
    • Skills and Experience
  • Have an engineering and quality management qualification and experience working within the Engineering or Manufacturing industries.
  • Experience implementing Quality and Hygiene Management Systems.
  • Experience and track record in successfully managing change and process roll-out.
  • Be an analytical, computer literate and determined problem solver.
  • The ability to and engage teams and provide training, support and guidance.
  • Clean driving license.
  • Experience implementing Environmental Management Systems, familiarity with the BRCGS standard and FSC- ideally across a number of sites is highly desirable.
