Job Description

Supplier Relations Consultant - Travel IndustryThis Global Corporate Travel Business are looking for a Supplier Relations Consultant to build strong relationships with their travel suppliers to ensure that they have access to market leading supplier content and commercial opportunitiesSupplier Relations Consultant - What will I be doing

  • You will be communicating any key supplier updates as well as maintaining their supplier knowledge bases so that the business is well informed and up to date.
  • You will be managing all aspects of IATA ensuring we are complying to all requirements within the IATA Travel Handbook to sustain our accreditation in all locations permitting the issuance of AIR tickets.
  • This role is part of a team that is designed to increase income through supplier commercials and support internal business queries (i.e. it is not a customer facing role) and is ultimately responsible for managing all IATA policies and requirements.
  • Assist in commercial negotiation with travel suppliers where applicable to maximise incentive incomes.
  • Collaborate with new and existing suppliers based on travel patterns to gain additional content and discounted rates.
  • Manage the auditing and loading of all supplier content
  • Evaluate, verify, and onboard new suppliers according to the business needs.
  • Directly submit and manage any technical supplier failure / disruption or notifications
Supplier Relations Consultant - What Experience Do I Need Ideally the client is looking for someone with a degree of experience where you will have worked in the travel industry and will have negotiated with suppliers and also had experience of BSP however they are very willing to offer full training in these areasas long as you have some experience of working in a travel related role and excellent administrative and communication skills.Supplier Relations Consultant - What else do I need to knowThis role is based in Glasgow 3 days a week and 2 days from home in a small team within a global operation. The team are lovely and the business has a reputation for longevity as they really look after their people. The benefits are also excellent and include30 days holiday rising to 35, private healthcare, excellent range of retail discounts and lots more. Salary £22k - £26k dependent on experience.
