Excellent role on offer for an experienced Structural Technician to take charge of projects and grow with a well-established and reputable engineering practice in either the Glasgow or Aberdeen area. Are you well qualified, experienced and an ambitious engineering professional with consultancy experience Are you looking to demonstrate your technical abilities on a range of projects with new and existing clients The company is a well-established Engineering Consultancy with offices in key locations around Scotland who specialise in Civil and Structural Engineering with a strong emphasis on building structures. In this position you will be involved in a range of Engineering activities including working on projects from inception to completion, producing detailed structural drawings for all common construction materials under the supervision of an Engineer, as wellas liaising with the clients and design teams. The role would therefore ideally suit an experienced Structural Engineer at or near chartered status with a solid professional understanding of structural engineering as well as consultancy experience. The successful candidate will be ambitious and driven tocomplete projects to a high standard, have a meticulous eye for detail and have good, relevant experience of designing building structures. The role: Senior Structural Technician - Glasgow/ Aberdeen £28,000 - £40,000 (based on experience/ chartership) Annual bonus scheme & salary review 30 days annual leave increasing with length of service Pension scheme Paid overtime when required Private medical, life, illness and income insurances Opportunity for progression in the company Working on a range of projects from residential, commercial to industrial in a consultancy Full support and training will be given to progress to apply for technician member status of the Institution of Civil Engineers if required The person: Experienced Structural Technician with ideally 3-5 years experience Competent in the use of industry standard draughting packages, preferably Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit Motivated and dedicated to providing quality deliverables Works confidently in a team and independently Chartered or keen to work towards it
