Established in 2002, IQA now employs over 300 people across our four sites - Glasgow, North Wales, Newcastle and Liverpool.Our parent company Elecnor, have 60 years of continuous growth and a presence in more than 50 countries, Elecnor has become one of the most outstanding Spanish business groups and a benchmark in the infrastructure, renewable energy and technology sectorsThis is an exciting time to join IQA, at a period of growth and diversification.We have identified, to strengthen our business we are looking to recruit an experienced storesperson to work in our Hillington Stores.About the Role:We are currently looking to recruit a skilled and experienced Storesperson to be based out of our premises in Hillington supporting all aspects of several departments based in Scotland.You will be responsible for managing store, stock, plant and equipment levels held as directed by the Regional Manager or relevant Project Managers.Day to day tasks are as follows (but not limited to):

  • Stores & Yard Area
  • Ensure tidiness and appropriate segregation of all Materials
  • Stores Racking - ensure annual inspection and maintenance is carried out.
  • Security - control access to secure stores area to approved personnel.
  • Materials
  • Record and issue materials to operatives.
  • Purchase materials from suppliers ensuring that stock levels are kept to an optimum level sufficient for the works.
  • Receive and check delivery of goods against delivery notes and purchase orders, updating ERP system.
  • Collect materials from suppliers and deliver to site as required.
  • Use ERP system to raise purchase orders in line with procedures and always have PO prior to purchasing goods.
  • Maintain Stock level, Issue and monitor PPE including items that are date stamped and require re-calibration or replacement.
  • Plant
  • Ensure any new plant purchased is entered on Q-Pulse and appropriate paperwork is issued to the operative who is to receive the item.
  • Arrange for the calibration of electrical instruments when they are due, upon return update Q-Pulse.
  • Highlight any plant defects or issues to Project Manager.
  • Plant repairs
  • Plant hire
  • Plant Pat Testing
  • Inspect and tag access equipment (Ladders, steps, scaffolds etc.)
  • Operations
  • Liaise with Project Managers/Supervisors on a daily basis to ensure availability of Material and Plant for Projects.
  • Assist Project Managers/Supervisors where required.
  • Any other adhoc activities that IQA may requireCandidate Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge and experience of stock and material control
  • Ability to work on own initiative and act independently whilst being able to work successfully as part of a team
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Fork Lift License
  • Tele-Handler License is desirable but full training can be provided.
  • Full driving license
