You will provide inpatient mental health care to the older adult patient group that is based on the principles of equality, dignity and respect and which takes into account spiritual and cultural diversity. In the inpatient setting care is delivered by a multi-disciplinary team and based on the best available evidence for practice. It is delivered in an environment that places minimal possible restrictions on personal choice. The clinical team works collaboratively with service users, carers and their representatives to ensure that care needs are identified and met. All patients being cared for have a Named Nurse who is tasked with working closely with their identified patients/carers to develop a participative, therapeutic relationship and deliver high quality nursing care in an environment where patients feel safe and secure best standard of care pertinent to the needs of our patient group. It is essential that you are currently a Registered Nurse with the NMC.
