Do you want to work in an interesting surgical ward environment where you can gain experience and skills in a variety of general surgical specialtiesGlasgow Royal Infirmary is a tertiary referral centre where you will encounter patients requiring complex pancreatic, colorectal, upper GI, bariatric and sarcoma surgery who can be referred in from surrounding health boards throughout Scotland. You will have the chance to work with an interesting patient population unique to GRI and work with a dedicated nutrition team who manage patients with intestinal failure requiring PN (Parenteral Nutrition) and Enteral Nutrition . This patient population allow surgical wards in Glasgow Royal Infirmary provide the nursing team with diverse development prospects and this is an excellent opportunity to develop knowledge and skills within these surgical specialties.You will have the opportunity to work alongside and be supported by experienced nurses, clinical nurse specialists and the wider multidisciplinary team to provide essential nursing care to this patient population. We also work closely with the Beatson Cancer Charity supporting patients through their journey.
