This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 SLT to join a well-established and enthusiastic Team of SLTs based in the North West area of Glasgow.The successful candidate will be based in a community team of Speech & Language Therapists who are well supported within the SLT Management Team. The post holder will assess, diagnose and provide speech and language therapy intervention to children up to 18 years old from a designated caseload from admission to discharge.Paediatric SLTs in NHS GG&C practice consistent with the Care Aims clinical effectiveness framework; the successful candidate will have a knowledge of this approach to clinical effectiveness. SLTs work in a variety of settings, e.g., clinics, mainstream schools and nurseries, Additional Support Needs Establishments and in the home environment.You should hold an appropriate Ordinary/Honours degree in Speech and Language Pathology or equivalent diploma and be registered with the Health Professions Council.Experience in working with children is an essential requirement and a knowledge of working within a staged intervention model would be required.This is a part-time 30 hour week permanent post with the shift pattern TBC.Informal Contact for the post is: Janet Grant, SLT Team LeadDetails on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Packs.
