Job Description

Specification Sales Manager - Local Authority and Scottish Housing DirectorateJob Title: Specification Sales Manager - Local Authority and Scottish Housing DirectorateIndustry Sector: Off-Site Manufactured Extension Systems, Roofing Systems, Conservatories, Orangeries, Extensions, Garden Rooms, Local Authorities, Structural Engineers, Housing Associations, Architects etc.Area to be covered: Scotland, North East & Ireland - based ScotlandRemuneration: £40,000-£50,000 + 10%-20% BonusBenefits: Audi A4 car or £6,250 car allowance + full benefits packageThe role of the Specification Sales Manager - Local Authority and Scottish Housing Directorate will involve:

  • Field sales role selling OSM (off site manufactured) housing extension systems
  • Targeting all local authorities in Scotland and the Scottish Housing Directorate
  • 80% of your time new business role, focusing on influencing building control offices and building surveyors within local authorities in respect of the adaption of our clients off site manufactured extension system (other specifiers include structural engineers,housing associations and private architects)
  • 20% account managing existing customer base/ projects within the existing sale ledger
  • Conducting CPD seminars aimed at local authorities, structural engineers, housing associations and private architects etc.
  • Provide insight and recommendations for the simplification and streamlining of the current approvals process for the benefit of our clients new off-site manufactured extension system
  • Working on projects with a typical order value of between £5,000-£15,000
  • 80% of your time will be spent in Scotland, 20% North East of England (Ireland will only be one of two visits per annum)
The ideal applicant will be a Specification Sales Manager - Local Authority and Scottish Housing Directorate with:
  • Must understanding the Scottish building application process
  • Must have sold building solutions into the Scottish Housing Directorate and/ or local authorities
  • Well connected with key decision makers in each local authority
  • Specification field sales experience
  • CPD presentation experience
  • Backgrounds within timber frame house kit manufacture or SIP panel house kit manufacture or very much of interest
  • Motivated, well organised and excellent communication skills
