Job Description

Solutions Architect - Retail Banking - 6 month contract - up to £625/day (Umbrella - inside IR35)I am looking for a couple of Solutions Architects to join a well known Retail Bank in Scotland to support ongoing design and delivery of solutions for their Fraud, Economic Crime and Financial Crime area of the business.Key Responsibilities:As a Solutions Architect, you will be an integral part of their dedicated team, responsible for:

  • Collaborating closely with development teams to design and build robust solutions for Messaging & Middleware, Microservices, Cloud, and Data Streaming.
  • Translating business requirements into scalable and sustainable architecture solutions.
  • Ensuring alignment with best practices, standards, and security protocols.
  • Evaluating emerging technologies and providing recommendations for adoption.
  • Leading architecture discussions, workshops, and design reviews.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior architects and developers.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and continuously improving our architecture practices.
Qualifications and Experience:We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:
  • Proven experience as a Solutions Architect with a background in a banking or financial services environment preferred
  • Solid knowledge of enterprise architecture, including skills in Messaging & Middleware, Microservices, Cloud, and Data Streaming solutions architecture.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry best practices and standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to challenge, negotiate and influence decision making.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and interact with stakeholders at all levels.
