We have an opportunity available for a SoftwareSupport Engineer to join us in a home working role from any location in the UK with the expectation to visit the office when required. You will provide technical support to ensure our systems remain secure, supported, updated and meet business requirements in line with our strategic objectives.You will have the opportunity to apply your experience in software engineering, support and maintenance to help us create secure, scalable, performant systems that are easy to maintain and support.This is a varied role and as such we are seeking a candidate has exposure to engineering tools and best practices. You will provide expert technical consultancy and proactively safeguard the business, investigate failures and have the ability to make relevant changes.Our ideal Software Support Engineer will have the following skills and experience:- Providing technical support and driving continuous improvement- Programming language – C# or Python- Oracle SQL- Software engineering best practice- Microsoft Azure technologies, Ruby and experience using Geospatial technologies (ESRI, FME) would be desirable- Deployment, Debugging, Testing, Scaling and Monitoring modern cloud-based systems will be beneficialOur growing Technology and Design team plays a key role in ensuring OS is at the cutting edge of geospatial capability and is looking for people to join them.
