Job Description

Implementation Engineer - Application Support - Java - SQL - Linux - Glasgow - £32,000 - £50,000 pa DOEOur client is a growing SaaS Development business in Glasgow and are looking for experienced Implementation Engineers to join their team.You will become an SME in the Application Services provided, support implementation and roll-out with new clients as well as providing ongoing application support for existing customers.Duties will include amongst others

  • Daily contact with customers across global locations for updates and ongoing service requests
  • Provide troubleshooting and configuration of client applications (incl. code) and database systems
  • Analysing large volumes of customer data
  • Writing Java scripts to troubleshoot and support data ETL functions
  • Support Unit Testing and Quality Assurance
    • I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have
  • Previous experience in a similar role or someone who has excellent analytical and software troubleshooting skills
  • Some development experience including basic coding in Java and SQL would be expected
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of one or more of the following would be beneficial:
  • Java code
  • Eclipse IDE
  • PostgreSQL, Oracle RBDMS
  • Linux platform
  • Shell Scripting
  • Git / Version Control Tools
  • XML
