Global Technology company that specialise in ensuring Software Security are looking for a Skilled C++ Software Engineer to join their Glasgow Base. Work on series of world-class products and gain experience with some really interesting development led securitypractices.Their software ensures security with data, communications, payments and protects content. The company have been operating successfully in Glasgow for just over 20 years now, and they are well respected in the tech community. They now have a global client baseand build trusted securities software for billions of connected devices.The ideal candidate will have several years of programming experience with C++ (bonus points if you have exposure with C or Objective-C). This role will mainly involve working on the companys core products, they currently have 3 that are used world-wide andvery highly rated (in fact many of us use them daily and we dont even know it!).The project work is genuinely interesting and would provide opportunities to learn some really technical processes. You will gain exposure to processes such as a White hat hacking, reverse engineering and even cryptography - so any previous experience, whetherthis has been in a commercial environment, within academia, or as a hobby would be a big bonus.Your skills & Experience:** Strong knowledge of C++** low-level programming / assembly language **Several years of commercial experience within a strong technical environment.** Relevant Degree inSoftware Engineering, Computer Science, Maths or something similar.The following is highly desirable; ** Understanding of compilers and the build toolchain** Experience with Python, Perl, UNIX or other scripting languages.** An interest/experience in security / ethical hacking / reverse engineering/cryptology.Their office is based in Glasgow city centre, walking distance from both Central Station and Queen Street - like most they do work 100% remote just now, but when things do go back to the "new normal" would look for a day or so in the office each week.Theyve got great staff retention - a testament to the good working environment and interesting technical work - in addition to this they offer a very comprehensive package of benefits including; Bonus, Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Income Protection,Contributory Pension and very flexible working - this is all on top off a very competitive salary (£40k to £58k).If youre interested in this role, or generally looking for a new opportunity in Glasgow/West Central Scotland, please apply and/or call Douglas at Cathcart Associates.
