I am working with a vastly growing software consultancy in Glasgow who are looking to recruit a couple of experienced Software Architects.The company:They are a thriving software consultancy with a number of offices across the UK, who have experienced vast growth over the past 12 months. They focus on designing and building software across some hugely well-known organisations and also across the privateand public sector. The work you will do, based from Glasgow, will be focused on Scottish organisations and you will not focus on more than two projects at once, often with a focus on one in particular.In relation to where you will work, this will be a combination of office based and home working. They operate a "trust-based model" and after everyone has stopped working from home full-time (post Covid), they want to offer flexibility to their employees.The role:In this role, the types of projects you work on will be varied, from Oil and Gas to Finance to Public Sector. This position is ideal for an Architect who wants to be involved in some coding, however it can also be hands-off, it is optional. They are lookingfor individuals who have experience in designing and delivering complex software systems and who are technologically flexible. You will work with a diverse range of platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) that will include the latest Front and Back-End technologies (Microservices,Serverless, Cloud, Big-Data). You will be able to create new application architectures as well as evolve existing ones. You will additionally be able to play the lead role in planning and executing an architectural roadmap, whilst communicating between yourteam and the client. The role will not have line-management requirements, however if this is something you desire, it is doable.Role requirements:** Having worked in a Software/Solution/Technical Architect role** Knowledge of some of the latest technologies (.NET/Java/AWS/Azure/GCP)** An understanding of Microservices/APIs/Big Data/Serverless platforms** Ability to create new application architectures, based on technical and business requirements, and evolve existing ones** Lead the planning and execution of an architecture roadmap** Leverage your software design and technology skills, to create effective architectures and communicating them to the client** Carefully managing the choice and delivery of technology** Helping other engineers reach their highest potential through mentoring and coachingThis is an opportunity to work with a thriving and employee-first organisation.
