Job Description

Are you a skilled Site Engineer seeking your next freelance opportunityContract Scotland is collaborating with a prestigious Civil Engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Freelance Site Engineer to work on a rail project in Glasgow with an immediate start.In this role, you will collaborate with their engineering team to ensure the timely and cost-effective completion of projects, all while upholding the highest standards of quality and service. This position will involve setting out for reinforced concreteworks and ducting.Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supervising Quality Control processes.
  • Setting out.
  • Managing testing of grouting and stressing work.
  • Orchestrating a well-organised team to maintain on-site quality compliance.
  • Administering and maintaining records of Quality Assurance systems on-site.
Heres what you can anticipate:
  • An immediate start date, extending until mid-February.
  • Monday to Friday schedule with the occasional Saturday nightshift.
  • Hourly rate of £28 to £30 DOE.
  • Payment methods – PAYE, or CIS.
To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:
  • A minimum of an HNC level qualification or its equivalent in civil engineering.
  • Flexibility and the ability to work independently.
  • Previous experience in civil engineering within a contracting environment, which is essential.
  • Previous rail experience would be advantageous.
  • Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme) certification.
  • PTS qualification would be advantageous but not essential.
