This job opportunity for a Senior Civil Structural Engineer is one you dont want to miss!Blueprint Recruitment have a brilliant new opportunity for a passionate Civil Structural Engineer to join a leading, Design and Advanced Technology Practice in Glasgow. Working on a hybrid basis, the successful candidate will attend the office 3 times perweek to contribute to technical Buildings and Infrastructure projects in the UK and overseas.Our client is a respected, Design, Engineering and Project Management Consultancy that offers technical Engineering solutions across the Built Environment sector. They are expanding their dynamic team due to the increasing demand for services in a varietyof Building and Infrastructure sectors, including, Energy, Industrial, Defence, Education and Transportation.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage budgets and time to key project milestones and programmes successfully
  • Input into bid proposals and prepare briefs
  • Lead a team to undertake technical design work following relevant design standards and codes, and to high-quality levels
  • Collaborate closely with teams in the UK and overseas to deliver integrated design solutions.
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience leading a design team
  • Chartered Civil / Structural Engineer
  • Experience in design delivery, including multidisciplinary design
  • Ability to work independently to deliver work, as well as part of a team
  • Ability to form and maintain relationships with others, including the client team, other disciplines, and contractors at all levels inside and outside the business
  • Experience coordinating with other disciplines in multi-discipline projects
  • Ability to produce designs following CDM regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, independent working, presenting, and influencing skills
  • Knowledge in design and analysis of heavy concrete and steel structures, and familiarity with current design standards and working practices, both British Standards and American codes.
  • Previous experience in the nuclear sector, particularly in the design and implementation of safety-related structures and systems
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
