Job Description

Senior Python EngineerLocation: Glasgow with £70-90k SalaryOverviewOur client is a FTSE 250 global leader operating as a digital agency generating over £12 billion as a consulting practice with a rich client portfolio, winning multiple awards for digital transformation projects. Joining this dynamic team as a Senior Python Engineer will provide you with the opportunity on working with digital government cliental shaping the future of their digital environment on projects that have major impact to society.As a Senior Python Engineer you will:

  • Be proactive in selecting the appropriate software development tools and methods
  • Develop well engineered outcomes to agreed standards
  • Self-review own work and that of their colleagues
  • Work within a variety of disciplines from: Deigning, coding, verifying, Testing, documenting and amending programmes and integration software services.
  • Collaboratively work within an agile team in tackling an array of technical issues
The Successful Senior Python Engineer skillset will be:
  • A minimum of 5 years commercial experience using Python
  • Experience using Linux and Ubuntu
  • A seasoned backend developer experienced with using python development for data platforms
  • Awareness of multiple paradigms and a variety of languages
  • Experience with docker and cloud infrastructure such as AWS
  • Proficient in using tools for testing, build and deployment pipelines
  • Sound understanding of logging, monitoring and alerting tools
