Job Description

Senior Project Manager required for our global Financial Services client on an 18-month fixed term contract. This is a pivotal role leading major change initiatives relating to post-acquisition integration and wider business change initiatives within theirUK finance operations function.Reporting to the Programme Director, you will be part of Programme Office, working with SMEs from across the business, developing & driving plans to improve the performance of the function and the business.Primary responsibilities:

  • Planning and managing the delivery of change projects, developing and maintaining plans, identifying and managing risk, monitoring and reporting progress, and managing SMEs and stakeholders to ensure delivery against tight time frames.
  • Leading a small team of internal subject matter experts (SMEs)
  • Developing and leading the implementation of detailed project plans
  • Facilitating workshops to participants across Finance and the wider business to develop new ways of working.
  • Coordinating project resource requirements
  • Monitoring and tracking progress on a regular basis, re-prioritising as needed, against delivery timelines whilst keeping stakeholders appraised of progress.
You will be a qualified and experienced Project Manager, with the following experience skills and attributes:
  • Project Management PMP or Prince 2 certification required.
  • Knowledge and experience of financial services
  • Understanding of business improvement methodologies
  • Extensive experience of managing & leading projects in complex, fast paced environments
  • Demonstrable full life cycle project manager experience, along with experience of leading multi-site projects
  • Confidently manages and sustains a key relationship network within a project environment.
  • An ability to extract and piece together required learning from a range of different opportunities and sources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and stakeholder management skills with the ability to negotiate persuade and influence business decisions at a senior management level.
Salary up to £80,000 + Group Benefits. Remote working, but with the need to be at their Glasgow HQ two days a month.
