Senior Procurement ProfessionalWe have some exciting opportunities for ambitious procurement professionals to join the Naval Ships Team at our site in Glasgow. Our team is responsible for the delivery of procurement contracts for a wide range of major systems or equipment, materials/commoditiesand build consumables.As a Senior Procurement Professional reporting into the Supply Chain Manager, you will draw upon Procurement best practice, subject matter expertise and LfE to deliver established Procurement Packages. You will be working on the Type 26 Frigate programme, 3ships currently under construction at our site in Glasgow for the Royal Navy. This is one of the largest MOD contracts currently underway in the UK.Were looking to grow our team to help shape the future of the Naval Ships business. You will be part of an experienced and dynamic team and will work with hundreds of suppliers from across the world contributing to our products and services meeting the highestpossible standards for our customers.Your main responsibilities as a Senior Procurement Professional will involve:* Commercial Management of contract lifecycle in line with contract T&Cs and KPIs* Negotiating engineering changes* Supplier performance management; on time delivery & right first time quality, resolution of contractual performance issues* Budgeting management* Adhering to programme schedule; govern delays & change management across the contract* Preparing for and feeding into multi discipline reviews; Quarterly Business Reviews, Factory Accepting Test, Monthly Contract Reviews* Investigating claims and incidences /dispute resolution with suppliersYour skills and qualifications:Essential* Experience working in a similar role is essential with a background within engineering, manufacturing, Oil and Gas, Automotive or aerospace* Track record of managing similar contracts* Track record of realising savings and the ability to demonstrate this* Experience using MRP/ERM, eCommerce, Windchill* Degree in business or engineering subject or equivalent work experience in supply chain role* Excellent MS office skillsDesirable* CIPS Qualification or working towardsWhat were looking for in you:You will have excellent communication skills allowing you to engage and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
