Job Description

Senior Planner (Environmental) - GlasgowHA 9949Salary: Negotiable depending on skills and experiencePermanent An excellent opportunity has become available for a Senior Town Planner to join a UK leading Environmental and Planning Consultancy as part of their established team in Glasgow. The successful Senior Planner will be responsible for leading a wide varietyof Environmental Planning and EIA projects across Scotland.The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable planning experience, preferably within a consultancy environment
  • Chartered status with the RTPI or will be working towards this
  • Demonstrable project management experience
  • Previous experience in the coordination of EIAs
  • An in depth knowledge of the technical aspects of EIA disciplines
  • A proven ability to write professional reports
Within the role the successful Environmental Planner will be:
  • Coordinating planning applications for a range of client projects within the renewables sector including solar, wind energy storage and hydro developments
  • Coordinating EIA projects
  • Managing projects and sub-consultants
  • Developing new business opportunities and preparing tenders
  • Liaising with clients
