Job Description

Our client is currently looking for a Senior Java Developer to join their busy team in Glasgow!Our client now has the opportunity for an experienced and skilled Senior Java Developer to help with the continuing expansion of the company. This is a Remote role.Senior Java Developer Duties:

  • This role will provide support across several areas of the tech department, where you will use your skills to contribute to improvements to our clients platform core capabilities, with Solr and OpenRefine.
  • Working alongside our clients Search engineer, you will help maintain and expand the capabilities of the platform in these areas.
  • You will also provide invaluable support to our clients testing team, working with them to increase our clients automated tests capabilities, on the Cucumber framework, expanding our clients current coverage and knowledge.
Senior Java Developer Requirements:
  • Databases: MySQL and CouchDB with knowledge of SQL.
  • Solr
  • Programming framework/language: JAVA and Java stack technologies, Apache POI,
  • Service-oriented architectures
  • Scrum methodology, JIRA, and Confluence experience
  • Understanding of microservice architectures
  • Linux
  • Docker
  • Kubernetes
