The VacancyThe Role:Our investment business unit is a key component of our consulting services and firmly established as a UK market leader. We currently advise on over £100 billion of assets for a diverse client base which spans corporate and trustee bodies across a wide varietyof business and industry sectors, as well as local government pension schemes and other public sector clients.We are looking for an experienced Investment Consultant to conduct and communicate high quality research analysis and advice in a professional and efficient manner.Some of the key responsibilities will include:Providing investment advice to both trustee and corporate clients on a wide range of issues.Directing and advising a portfolio of clientsDelivering high quality, expert investment advice employing strategic and innovative solutionsDeveloping business - active involvement in client prospecting, relationship building and new business pitchesActivities designed to build and enhance the practice and firms profile through networking, speaking at appropriate conferences and other forumsBuilding and maintaining strong links with other areas of the business to facilitate cross sellingDeveloping the consulting capabilities of the practice by coaching and mentoring team membersPotentially contribute to internal initiatives and requirements e.g. quality assurance programmes, learning and development programmesAdhere to the firms Information Security standards, policies and procedures.Qualifications and Experience:Likely to be FFA/FIA or CFA qualified -authorised to give investment advice via another qualification or experiencePerforming a similar role in a consultancy environment, or similar experience gained in a fund management or other relevant investment sector.A solid understanding of the legislative framework for UK pension schemes.Strong commercial awareness of the pensions and employee benefits marketRelated knowledge or experience of Company Accounts an advantage, but not essential.Articulate complex ideas and develop them into tangible offeringsApply strong intellect to complex problem-solving in client organisationsCoach and develop other professionalsConsult with client contacts at senior/board levelRecognise and facilitate business development and intra/inter-practice referral opportunities as appropriate
