Senior .Net Developer Glasgow As a Barclays Senior .Net Developer, you will be working within prime services function. Your overall purpose will be to calculate client interest on a daily and monthly basis, in addition to working with the trading book books balances and ticket charges.Further to this, you will also manage service APIs and deliver business functionality within an agile working environment. Finally, you will have accountability for designing and implementing a variety of projects as and when required. What will you be doing• Working with and providing on-going development and maintenance of the platform, to deliver business-oriented growth projects and regulatory initiatives • Developing the automated regression testing pack • Developing an understanding of the business, being able to interpret requirements and design suitable solutions • Learning and applying existing and new technology to design and implement tactical and strategic solutions • Applying leadership skills to projects, including estimates for tasks, design, development, and tech debt • Participating in an agile development lifecycle, including, and beyond, project go-live What were looking for:• Excellent C#/.NET programming skills, with advanced knowledge of OOP standards • Good working knowledge of MS SQL server • Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT • Automated testing experience Skills that will help you in the role:• Financial services business knowledge • Experience in enterprise scale environment using agile methodologies • Cloud/AWS experience • Other desirable technology experience: Java, Specflow, Nunit, Cucumber/Gherkin (BDD), Nolio, Nuget, Sonarqube Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
