Job Description

Senior Community Fundraising Officer for Cancer Charity based in Glasgow (G2)35 hours a weekPermanent3 days in the office in GlasgowAre you passionate about making a difference Do you thrive on building deep and long-lasting relationships with supporters If so, this role would be perfect for you.Responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for maximizing income by developing long-term, high-value relationships with a portfolio of community supporters across Scotland.
  • Nurture and grow income from an existing portfolio of supporters includes community fundraising volunteers, local companies, clubs, and societies.
  • Develop and deliver tailored stewardship plans for existing and new supporters, ensuring they feel valued and understand the impact they are making.
  • Actively seek referrals and introductions from your existing supporter base to expand our supporter network and increase income.
  • Achieve fundraising income targets and key performance indicators.
  • Act as an ambassador at fundraising events across Scotland, promoting our vision and key messages to enhance our profile and reputation.
Experience:
  • Has fundraising experience, ideally in a community setting.
  • Demonstrable success in working with high-value and complex supporters to develop long-term relationships and maximize funds raised.
  • Proven experience in securing new fundraising opportunities and delivering growth, preferably in community.
  • Strong ability to lead face-to-face, virtual, and phone meetings with supporters.
  • Experience working remotely or autonomously toward shared strategies and objectives is desirable.
