NHS GREATER GLASGOW & CLYDESENIOR RECONSTRUCTIVE CLINICAL FELLOWGLASGOW ROYAL INFIRMARYA Senior Fellowship post is available from the 1st August 2021 until the 31st July 2022 based within the internationally renowned Canniesburn Plastic Surgery Unit at Glasgow Royal Infirmary, in Scotland, where 18 consultants run 6 general anaesthetic theatres each day and provide national and regional services. This post would be out with the breast service, with opportunity for a fellowship tailored to address training in one of more of the following subspecialties: complex trauma care / sarcoma reconstruction / peripheral nerve surgery / facial palsy / hand surgery. Candidates should be in possession of the FRCS(Plast), or equivalent international specialty training accreditation, at the time of commencing in post. They should have extensive experience in Burns, Hand, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (equivalent to U.K. ST6/7 or above) and a clear focus upon higher-order skills acquisition. A process exists to match training provision to the experience and sub-specialty training requirements of the successful candidate(s). On the basis of educational and progress assessments, candidates will be provided with targeted higher order training in the reconstructive subspecialisation of their choice. The successful candidate would be on the ST-grade (registrar) on call rota throughout the post. This post is aimed at senior trainees from the U.K. or abroad, who seek higher-level training within reconstructive surgery.Further information is available from Prof A Hart (Telephone
