Job Description

The work we do together matters.The Avove Design team is recruiting for Senior CAD Technicians with an interest in Water/Wastewater Engineering to work in our dedicated Design and Construct (D&C) teams currently delivering an expanding workload for our Clients on a number of D&C frameworksthroughout the UK.This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a multidisciplinary team on a wide variety of projects covering all aspects of Wastewater and Water networks, and treatment facilities through the project lifestyle from feasibility design through detailed designto construction.The position will be based in our Eurocentral office and will involve a mixture of hybrid working however other locations will be considered.You will have the opportunity to work on both challenging and exciting projects of a technical nature designing excellent services and solutions for our wide client base by assisting the team in all relevant projects and activities to meet Avove and clientobjectives and needs. Working as part of a team, you will acquire a portfolio of technical knowledge and transferable skills that will give you a wide choice of careers optionsResponsibilities

  • Work to Avoves project controls guidelines and procedures.
  • Support the Design Lead / CAD Manager and other team members in undertaking a wide range of design related tasks including:
  • Production of AutoCAD drawings in accordance with Avoves procedures
  • Undertake design, and modelling activities using Autodesk Civil 3D or other third party software packages where appropriate (i.e. Autodesk Revit, Navisworks).
  • Comply with the Avove IMS, CDM regulations and other relevant Safety and Environmental legislation.
  • Take responsibility for the supervision of junior technicians to ensure timely design outputs are in accordance with programme and quality requirements.
  • Maintain high technical standards, consistent with the project brief and compliance with Avove HSEA requirements
Qualifications:
  • HNC/HND in Engineering, or relevant discipline (or a similar approved qualification)
Skills & Experience
  • Computer literate and conversant with Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Navisworks and associated 3rd party packages, and MS Office suite
  • Basic understanding of design activities, and drawing preparation, in a multi-disciplinary project environment
