Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Architectural Technician for an initial 6 month contract on a rate of £21.98-£25.95/hour (PAYE). This role will be hybrid based with 2 days per weekin office.Responsibilities:- Supporting multi disciplinary design teams in delivery of major capital projects or smaller projects in accordance with RIBA plan of work, including internal staff and external consultants.- Supporting architectural teams in production of architectural or technical/design.- Supporting and advising internally on design and technical matters. - Administering various forms of construction contract.- Producing drawings, specifications and presentation material for design and construction.- Ensure project co-ordination with other professional team members including CDM and Health and Safety and external consultants.Essential Skills:- Educated to degree or other appropriate qualification in building design related subject.- Good architectural design skills- Good technical design skills. - Competent in CAD and REVIT.- Experience in a listed building, including stonework/slate roof and integrating new services in to listed building, sensitivity with internal detailing.- Ability to support a multi-disciplinary design team.- Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills.- Good drawing and visual presentation skills- Knowledge of architect’s and lead designer’s duties at all stages of the design and construction process- Knowledge of planning process and Building Standards.- Knowledge of current good practice, guidance and legislation in relation to building design.- Knowledge of legal and contractual issues in relation to construction.- Commitment to delivery of high quality service.Desirable Skills:- Membership of a relevant professional institute- Competent in NBS, Photoshop, sketchup and Indesign.- Knowledge of current architectural design theory and practice.If you would like to hear more about this opportunity please get in touch.
