Job Description

STEM Recruitment Solutions are currently recruiting for a Senior Analytical Development Scientist to join a company based in the outskirts of Glasgow. In this role you will be responsible for transfer/development and validation of analytical methods and provision of analytical support during formulation development programs and/or transfer to QC group. You will also be looking after a small team.Other responsibilities include:

  • Designated clients and projects.
  • Preparing technical documentation (procedures, protocols, reports, etc)
  • Ensuring all analytical work (method transfer/development, formulation support, method validation, technical batch stability, etc) is performed and reported within agreed timelines.
  • Performing routine and complex analyses in accordance with designated specifications, protocols and relevant SOPs.
  • Reviewing routine analytical data generated by colleagues within the Analytical Development group.
  • Ensuring that laboratory analytical equipment is appropriately qualified, calibrated and used in accordance with internal SOPs.
  • Performing routine calibration/validation of analytical equipment according to relevant SOPS and protocols.
  • Monitoring/maintenance of high level of laboratory housekeeping.
  • Assisting with regulatory and client audits.
    • This is a Senior role therefore you will also be responsible for looking after other Scientists. You MUST therefore have previous line management experience.
