Securitas is encouragingand empowering diversity & inclusion in the workplace and has been recognised with both UK SuperBrand and UK Top Employer awards for 2019/20.The primary objective of the role is to ensure that the 2yr Security Transformation Programme Project objectives and security measures are effective in mitigating Security Risks and delivering enduring compliance with Naval Ships Cyber Security obligations.This should be achieved through a step-change in approach that involves preventing, detecting, responding and recovering from Cyber threats.How you will make an impact as a Security Manager: The individual in this role will provide the Security expertise to the Naval Ships Security Transformation Programme. The role will report to Naval Ships Chief Counsel who is the Senior Responsible Owner for the Security Transformation Programme.The role holder will provide direct SQEP support and advice across 4 Projects regularly monitoring and engaging with Project Leads to enable security objective understanding and resolution.

  • Responsible for ensuring that Security Transformation Programme ("STP") risks are addressed through the implementation of effective Project mitigating controls.
  • Oversee design and implementation of Project control measures by providing Security expertise and evaluating control effectiveness.
  • Provide SQEP expertise and advice to Projects in the optimum implementation of industry best practice Information, Physical, Personnel and Cyber Security controls.
  • Support Projects in understanding and meeting contractual, regulatory and legislative obligations that must be satisfied by Project deliverables.
  • Assure Projects implement controls that are effective in meeting Company Standards for Security.
  • Support the Programme Manager in driving forward the completion of Programme activities.
  • Assist the Programme Security Manager in developing, supporting and motivating the STPs Projects to ensure that they are aware of and capable of delivering their work scope in the time periods set.
  • Where required facilitate engagement and liaise with other business experts to obtain additional guidance and SQEP input to aid Project delivery.
  • Understand and interpret complex technical scenarios to enable the development of realistic Project schedules.
  • Understand the business structure, commercial awareness, export programmes and related security inputs and outputs.
  • Provide the Security Transformation Programme interface with Naval Ships Security Team and where required produce specific project reports.
Essential Skills What you will bring to be a Security Manager:
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Have full 5-year checkable work history.
  • Ability to obtain SC clearance.
  • Experience of relationship building and fully engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong written and verbal communications
  • Well-developed interpersonal and influencing skills. Able to negotiate and deal with sensitive and confidential matters with tact and discretion.
  • Project Management Skills
  • Previous Security Controller experience in a similar role working with List X
  • Competent in MS Word, Excel
  • Driving license and have the travel within the UK as required.
