Job Description

Page Personnel are delighted to be partnered with our client to recruit an exciting opportunity for a Sales Ledger Administrator. This is a key role within the Finance team to support their retail stores and eCommerce team with sales transactions. The Salesledger Administrator will be comfortable in a volume transaction environment and will have a good working understanding of integrated ERP systems.Client DetailsOur client is a market leading UK wide fitness retailer. Over the last couple of years they have enjoyed successful growth and are now looking to add to the team. They are based in Glasgow and have access to free parking as well as public transport.DescriptionThe successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities:

  • To provide personable and good quality guidance and advice to internal customers; supporting questions and resolving queries
  • Processing sales receipts, banking transactions and reconciliation
  • Managing credit notes and the customer refund process
  • Credit control and debt management of the commercial and trade customer ledger
  • Customer and store account reconciliation for retail customers
  • Conducting ID, security checks and credit worthiness assessments for new customers
  • Investigating and reporting discrepancies, mistakes or potential fraud to senior management in a timely manner
  • Supporting the management of the annual stock take activity
  • Complying with relevant financial laws and regulations
ProfileThe successful candidate will likely have the following profile:
  • Exp in the areas of sales ledger and credit control reporting
  • Exp in eCommerce trading is preferable
  • Working knowledge of IRIS exchequer or Sage accounting systems would be advantageous
  • Excellent excel and computer skills
  • The ability to work calmly under pressure and regularly meet strict deadlines
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a small team to provide help, support and holiday cover
Job OfferThis role will offer a competitive salary between £23,000-£28,000 plus benefits.
