Job Description

Here in the UK we employ around 5,000 people across the country to deliver services that have a profound impact on people’s lives.From assessments and health services to employability programmes and specialist support, we do work that matters with people who care.Job Summary The purpose of the role is also to provide effective reporting on the planning process, work allocation, empty slots and resource utilisation for the management team to enable the longer term planning of the head of work.Essential Job Duties • Build and deliver robust forecasts for resource planning to deliver against targets.• Be responsible for the accurate forecasting across areas such as; resource, skills and estates.• Deliver both short and long term plans, working closely with Assessment Centre Managers to build accurate forecasting models.• Manage the production of the planner ensuring the plan is produced on a 12 week, 4 week and thereafter weekly session. • Manage production of the rota and Siebel sessions.• Analyse the head of work and manage the allocation of medical resource to meet demands and achieve targets.• Work alongside the management team to forward plan training to address skills gaps against projected work streams and volumes.Resource Management• Work with the Assessment Centre Managers to track absence and minimise the impact of this on service and forecasts.• Monitor work in progress (WIP) and MSRS Dashboard, managing the life cycle of examination referrals received in Workstack to Appointment allocation.• Identify and manage areas of down time reallocating work where necessary to minimise. • Work with the AC Managers to optimise estate capacity and resource, escalating issues to the management team before they impact performance.Management of the Resource Team• Train and develop team members to ensure the team has the capability and capacity to meet work volumes and demands.• Communicate business performance targets on a regular basis ensuring all team members have an awareness of shortfalls and areas to focus upon.Reporting• Act as liaison with the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) in relation to case progression.• Manage report creation such as the rota analysis and weekly performance plan for the management team.• Manage and issue performance updates for the biweekly planning meeting and the weekly performance meeting.• Manage the amount of changes to plans to minimise changes, escalating trends to senior managers where appropriate.Continuous Improvement• Identify opportunities to improve the planning and resource management processes and present proposals for change to the BSM and RPM.Education and Experience Requirements • Excellent excel and analytical skills, with the ability to assess and solve problems when working to tight deadlines.• Ability to build complex forecasts, across different business lines and customer contact channels.• Strong interpersonally, able to influence and negotiate to achieve business goals.• Subject Matter expert on industry practice in the areas in resource planning design and implementation with a minimum of 5 years.• Super proficient with workforce management tools, and able to monitor forecasting, scheduling and planning processes.• Experience of using Resource Management software tools.Equal Employer Opportunities Statement Maximus is committed to developing, maintaining and supporting a culture of diversity, equity and inclusion throughout the recruitment process.
