One of our clients runs a Renewable Analytics desk and they require a Senior Forecast Analyst to join the team. The role is based in Glasgow. You will be using STEM background to deliver forecasting to end users who base their positions around your forecasting. You will be customer facing and answer questions on the service the consultancy provides. You will need prior forecasting experience in therenewable energy sector, particularly wind and solar. The duties you will perform as Senior Forecast Analyst are *Producing forecast performance reports*Researching new modelling methods*Assist with workshops and meetings to discuss wind/solar energy forecasting, and promote DNVs forecasting services*Assisting with the commercial and marketing aspects of the business*Willingness to be part of on-call rota to support operational issuesIn order be considered you will need *Bachelors degree in Mathematics, Meteorology, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering required*Minimum 3 years of experience in renewable energy forecasting or other relevant and equivalent technical experience required.*Experience with wind and/or solar energy preferred*Understanding of global weather patterns preferred*Experience using Python required preferred*Experience using C#, MATLAB, and/or SQL preferred*Experience developing and running machine learning models preferred*Willingness to be part on on-call rota to support operational issues during weekend and public holidays, up to two weekends per month, required*Experience with statistical modelling methods*Effective time management skills as you will be required to handle multiple projects simultaneously*Ability to work in a pressurised consultancy environment operating to deadlineOne of our clients runs a Renewable Analytics desk and they require a Senior Forecast Analyst to join the team.
