We are looking for motivated radiographers to join our team at the West of Scotland Breast Screening Service.The West of Scotland Breast Screening Service (WSBSS) offers mammography screening to 280,000 women on a three - yearly cycle either at the static centre or on one of seven mobile units. Between 4% and 5% of women screened are then invited for further assessment to review clinics held in the static centre in Glasgow.The geographical area covered by WSBSS includes Greater Glasgow, Argyll and Clyde, Lanarkshire and West Forth Valley Health Boards. .As a mammographer your main responsibility will be to carry out mammography screening x-ray examinations and provide direct care for women attending mobile units and/or the static centre.At the static centre you will also undertake additional specialised x-ray procedures and participates in interventional Radiological techniques on women returning for further investigation at review clinics.Requirements for the post are :-HCPC RegistrationBSc (hons) Degree in Radiography or equivalentPost-Graduate Certificate in Mammography or equivalent (training will be provided)Current Driving LicenceThe shift pattern is; Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00Informal ContactJanice Tannock, Superintendant Radiographer onDetails on how to contact the Recruitment Service can be found within the Candidate Information Pack
