Key responsibilities In this Quantity Surveying job, your responsibilities will include:As a Quantity Surveyor you will be a key member of the team and be comfortable have a customer facing role. Your job will involve the successful delivery of the timber frame projects. You will report to the Head of Commercial and deliver your projects withinthe agreed programme and budget with excellent delivery of customer service.Your new job will require you to work cross function, maintain contact with the customer throughout and act as a key contact. You will provide pre-contract support on terms and conditions during the sales phase as required. You will maintain a full and detailedbrief of the project in every aspect. You will be required to prepare subcontract tender information and take a lead role in negotiating, reviewing, and approving the works, taking in to account variations or recharges. Your role will require you to liaiseregularly with the Finance team to ensure all applications for payment are sent out to the client on time and maximise the businesses cash flow.Skills & experienceYou will come from an academic background in Quantity Surveying accredited by the RICS. You will have a practical and logical mind and a methodical way of thinking. You will have a creative and innovative approach to problem solving with a strong numeracyand financial management skill set. You will have the ability to learn sophisticated design and costing IT Packages and the ability to write clear and precise reports and be able to explain complex information in a simple way to a diverse group of people.You will have excellent negotiation skills and work well in a team. You will have a broad knowledge of construction and be interested in the Construction industry with an interest in House Building in particular.
