Job Description

Were looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our HMP Glasgow project team based in GlasgowLocation: Scotland, GlasgowContract: Full Time, PermanentWhat will you be responsible forAs a Quantity Surveyor, you will be working within our HMP Glasgow team delivering a major construction project that will provide a critical asset to the local area .Your day to day will include:

  • Advising on financial feasibility of projects at early stages as well as organising the division of projects into component work packages for procurement.
  • Assessing returns from sub-contractors, awarding work packages and negotiating with sub-contractor supply chain to achieve best value.
  • Managing applications for payment from sub-contractors
  • Monitoring and measuring actual expenditure against budgeted project expenditure in the form of CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation Reports)
What are we looking forThis role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if:
  • Strong Knowledge of NEC Contracts
  • Prior experience of working within the main contracting environment
  • Strong knowledge of project commercial management
  • Experience in dealing with client reps, sub-contractors and internal stakeholders
