QHSE ManagerLocation: Glasgow, G52 4TG.Salary: Competitive, DOE.Contract: Full time, permanent.Specialist Ducting Supplies Limited, a manufacturing and distribution company based in Glasgow, are looking to recruit an ambitious, focused, and motivated individual to join their management team.We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Manager (QHSE Manager) who will be based at our manufacturing facility in Glasgow to take on the role post the retirement of the present incumbent.You will take responsibility for leading all aspects of developing, implementing, and maintaining agreed QHSE and other operating standards across all three company sites, in Glasgow, Yorkshire, and Berkshire.Working as part of the Management Team your role will encompass the management of day-to-day activities whilst also being involved in helping set and manage the strategical direction of the company through managing The Strategic Review Process on an annualbasis.This really is a fantastic opportunity to progress your career within a manufacturing and distribution organisation.QHSE Manager - Responsibilities:• Manage all activities pertaining to QHSE to achieve control, monitoring, and implementation of QHSE policies and procedures.• Ensure that the Quality Management System maintains compliance with the requirements of the ISO 9001 Standard which the company originally attained over thirty years ago.• Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental activities are in line with both current legislation and supports both our internal requirements and also our customer related activities.• Support the training and development of all staff to ensure awareness and understanding of QHSE requirements and their relevance to business objectives.• Monitor, audit, and report on relevant QHSE performance and activities and provide feedback through Management Review.• Provide leadership and support to the management team in resolving problems internally pertaining to all aspects related to QHSE Systems.• Be professionally accountable to The Operations Manager.What we need from you:Previous Experience / Qualifications• Robust knowledge and understanding of Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation & best practice and appropriate industry specific qualifications i.e. (IQA, NEBOSH & IEMA, Auditor Training etc.)• Experience of manufacturing processes - extrusion and injection moulding of plastics• Experience of implementing and maintaining Management Systems• Role Model for Managing Change and good analytical skills• Previous experience of managing and maintaining supply chain relationships• Full UK driving licencePersonal Characteristics• Ability to work under pressure; think clearly and act decisively• Good personal organisation skills• Good listening and communication skills• Good problem-solving skills• Team Player• Personable demeanour• Excellent IT skills across Microsoft OfficeIf you feel you have the skills and experience to be successful in this role then apply today!About the CompanySDS employ around 30 people across three sites and are recognised as one the leading suppliers of hose and ducting within the UK market place.The company operates over three distinct locations:• Steeton, West Yorkshire - Head Office, Sales, Finance, Warehouse and Distribution• Crowthorne, Berkshire - Sales Office (PARIS Hose and Ducting)• Hillington, Glasgow - ManufacturingThe company celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2023 and remains a wholly owned, Yorkshire-based, family business.
