Athena Trade & Risk Services (ATRS) is a global team responsible for building common business components on J.P. Morgans strategic trade and risk management platform, Athena. Our components are used across multiple businesses and products for trade booking and trade management, price calculation, risk management, and P&L reporting. The ATRS team in Glasgow is focussed on building best-in-class trade booking and management solutions and are looking for more software engineers to join our team. No prior experience of finance required. You can learn the domain by doing, with the support of our internal training programs and experience of your colleagues. What is requiredYou are strongly motivated to learn and do engineering right - to find the simplest solutions to complex problems, to build resilient, scalable components that meet client needs and are robust in busy trading environments, and to collaborate effectively with others across the world. Writing tests, object modelling and refactoring are core parts of your engineering practice.
