Job Description

The Company:

  • Leading distributor for variable speed drives, motors and low voltage components
  • The company focuses on supply, install and service
  • They serve the industrial markets including water, chemical, oil & gas, aggregates and many more
The Role of the Proposals Engineer
  • The Proposals Engineer will carry out site surveys generated from sales enquiries which involve installing new equipment, relocating existing equipment or modifying and upgrading equipment on customer sites
  • This is a field-based role that involves travelling to customers
  • You will liaise with the service team to see the installation to completion and satisfaction of the client
  • Travel to the head office once a week.

The Ideal Person for the Proposals Engineer
  • Experience working in the Industrial motor control sector (Incl. can understand electrical drawings)
  • Understanding in DOL starter, Star/Delta, Softstart & Variable Speed Drive technology will be required
  • Ideally will have involvement in installation practices of above
  • Practice or an understanding of operating voltage 230v ac, 380 to 690V 50Hz (mainly 400V 3 Phase) is needed
