We invest in our employees for the long term and we are committed to supporting your development within the company.Job DescriptionJob Title: Project Manager - Outsourced TestingJob Type: PermanentHours: 40 per weekJob Location: GlasgowRemuneration: As Project Manager - Outsourced Testing, you’ll receive a salary of between £29,000 and £33,0000, depending on experience, plus you’ll benefit from a 10% performance bonus private health cover after 1 years’ service, a contributory pension scheme and life cover.As Project Manager - Outsourced Testing you’ll assume responsibility for all aspects of SGS Vitrology Subcontracting and Logistical Services.Key Accountabilities;

  • Perform all duties and tasks in accordance with relevant Good Manufacturing and Good Laboratory Practice guidelines.
  • To act as SGS Glasgow’s Project Manager on subcontracted studies.
  • Manage the PM support team to drive and perform shipments as required to meet study commit dates. And to prepare and provide weekly master schedules for QA approval.
  • Manage sub-contracted projects in a timely manner, to ensure the correct paperwork and correct Test Item and vial allocation to the test for shipment to the sub-contractor, and the correct test method and amendments/deviations are executed at the test site facility.
  • Work with wider PM team to provide technical and regulatory support to clients on all aspects of studies.
  • Review sub-contractor SOPs/Study Plans with QA and Head of PM to ensure the correct compliance - both regulatory and technical
    • QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you’ll need recent experience of managing scientific projects or studies - in vivo, microbial and virology experience preferential, as well as experience of working in a GLP/GMP environment. To be successful in this role, you’ll also need experience managing subcontractors.In addition to the above you’ll also need to demonstrate the following;
  • Scientific background and laboratory skills relevant to role
  • Good communication and project management skills, verbal and written
  • Ability to work under pressure, to tight timelines
  • Awareness of deadlines and commit dates
  • Awareness of financial aspects of TLSM role (shipping, revenue recognition etc)
    • The following attributes would be desirable, but not essential;
  • Experience of working in a GLP/GMP environment, or equivalent
  • Experience of working in a quality assurance environment
  • Writing and word-processing skills.
  • Ability to understand customer needs.
  • Biologics logistical experience
  • Good communication and project management skills, verbal and written
