Job Description

Permanent vacancy - Project ManagerSalary - Competitive salary DOELocation - Glasgow City CentreWorking hours 9am - 530pm (37.5)Office working days Monday - Friday (Office based)Our client based in Glasgow City Centre, are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join their busy office for a 12 month maternity contract. The Project Manager will be responsible for and execution of all projects as a whole to ensure that the worksare constructed in accordance with the clients contract, within budget and timeframes. Taking total responsibility for all aspects of the delivery of the projects.Key Responsibilities

  • Implementation of the Full Project Management Plan
  • Compliance with Health Safety & Environmental Policy
  • Achieving divisional business objectives and targets
  • Project Resource Management
  • Project Management Procedures & Reporting
  • Procurement Performance
  • Commercial Performance
  • Client Liaison & Satisfaction
  • Production of programmes using recognised planning tools and methodologies
  • Managing any issues relating to the project delivery and team
  • Other ad hoc duties commensurate with this position
  • Completion of projects on time, on budget and to the required standards
  • KPI measures relating to project scorecard
  • Client Satisfaction
  • Professional development through CPD
Skills and experienceAs a Project Manager your main skills and experience will include:
  • Experience of successfully delivering large scale projects (ideally Retail Construction projects or Retail Refurbishment and Fit Out projects or Construction New Build / Refurbishment projects) but this background is not essential
  • Proven track record in managing and dealing with operational, staff, contractual and commercial issues at project level
  • Proven experience of total responsibility and success in the delivery of larger and/or complex construction projects, on time within budget and to quality
  • Be able to demonstrate the knowledge and experience required to complete a project under budget taking into consideration difficult time constraints
  • Have an extensive knowledge of construction practices that can be used on site to analyse the design and propose potential cost saving measures
  • Previous experience of producing timely reports
  • Demonstrate experience of successful client liaison
  • Strong working knowledge of HSQE legislation for the construction industry
  • Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office packages and IT in general
  • A proactive and flexible working approach with the ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Experience of working in a fast track, multi project environment
