Project Manager - EPOS Solutions/SaasBasic salary £40,000 + car allowance + benefitsFlexible UK based locationMy client is a provider of EPOS and payment solutions, predominantly to the catering and retail sectors. Due to expansion, they are looking for a Project Manager to work in the professional services team to support and deliver the implementation of new contractsand upgrades to customers across the UK. If you have experience in project management and have worked in either EPOS or software delivered to a vertical market, this could be a great opportunity!The Role:

• Youll have responsibility for the day to day management of customer projects for the delivery of professional services, software and hardware for EPOS solutions.
• The role will include installation of EPOS equipment on client sites and provide training on software remotely and onsite. There is an installation team to do a lot of this but you will be called upon to do this yourself when its busy or the client islocated near to you.
• Youll pick up the project from the sales department, clarify any areas of query then engage with the customer to discuss timescales and implementation plans. Youll then place orders for hardware, organise the installation, configure the software, manageand deliver the training either onsite or remotely, manage all challenges and timescales throughout, be onsite with the customer if needed on go live date and then see the project through to handover to finance for invoicing and helpdesk and customer careto explain any customisations or specific anomalies of the account.
• At any given time you may have up to 30 projects to work on, all at different stages and with different timescales. This could be from a couple of weeks for a basic upgrade of a chip and pin terminal, through to a large scale project for a brand new buildingwhich could be over 12 months.
• Youll work to KPIs and be part of a wider team with regular meetings to update on progress.
• There will be a requirement to travel but other than that you can work remotely from home or from the office base in Kent.

The Person:

• Were looking for someone with experience of co-ordinating or managing projects, ideally within a software vertical market.
• Any EPOS and/or hardware experience would definitely advantageous but isnt absolutely necessary.
• Youll have knowledge with IT hardware such as PCs and IP networks as well as wifi and ideally youll have done onsite customer installations.
• Experience in software implementation would be an advantage, as would a PRINCE 2 or Agile certification but neither are essential.
• Overall youll be confident dealing with 3rd party suppliers and engineers, engaging with the customer and have a good technical knowledge and a willingness to learn.
• A full UK driving license is needed as youll be travelling to client sites.
• The ability to deliver a project on time and within budget by influencing people and processes is really key to this role.

The Package:

• A basic salary of up to £40,000 is offered
