Job Description

As a Barclays Product Review Manager you will proactively work to identify, assess and control all Principal Risks stemming from BI business activity. BI Risk is responsible for setting the risk limits for the legal entities underlying the BI businessactivities and for leading the Individual Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) for these legal entities. Reasonable steps are taken to ensure compliance with the relevant regulatory requirements of the jurisdictions in which BI operates, and that risk-relatedinformation is appropriately disclosed to those regulators. Hybrid WorkingWe are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month or a quarter. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally are able to request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances Please discuss the detail of the working pattern options for the role with the hiring manager. What will you be doing Conducting quality assurance of risk assessments carried out by the business and functional areas Coordinating functional due diligence review across all functions, including Operations, Legal, Compliance, Risk and others as required Managing and engaging multiple stakeholders involved in the process at various levels of seniority including senior Executives Coordinating response to regulatory and audit requests and ensure timely completion of any actions Performing Secretariat role for a mandated sub-Committee to ensure effective running of Product Review Committee meetings What were looking for: Proven career history within financial services and track record across a range of risk related controls or governance disciplines Experience of an Investment Banking environment with knowledge of Investment Bank products/services control mind-set, with a clear understanding of the importance of a robust governance and control structure with an ability to provide robust challenge within the first or second line Excellent communicator both verbally and written Skills that will help you in the role: A university degree at undergraduate level or higher Product, Regulatory or Audit related experience Knowledge of change management/ process improvement Experience with multi-stakeholder, multi-geography businesses and/ or programs Where will you be workingOur new state-of-the-art Campus, right in the heart of Glasgow is a hub of creative collaboration.
