Procurement ProfessionalWe have some exciting opportunities for ambitious procurement professionals to join the Naval Ships Team at our site in Glasgow. Our procurement team is responsible for delivery of activities for UK and International programmes and having recently movedinto Delivery Phase, its a great time to join.As a Procurement Professional, you will undertake activities to support the Contract Managers in delivery of procurement contracts for a variety of ship equipment, complex systems commodities and materials. The role holder will work closely with the ContractManagers, the functional systems team, Programmes and will liaise with and support external suppliers as necessary. This role is working on one of the largest MOD contracts currently underway in the UK for the Type 26 Frigate programme where there are 3 shipsunder construction at our site in Glasgow to be deliver to the MOD customer for the Royal Navy.You will work with an experienced and dynamic team and will be part of global collaboration at its best. Were looking to grow our team to help shape the future of the Naval Ships business. This role will provide you with experience gained from working ona Multinational contract and open up development opportunities to grow your career within the wider BAE Systems business.Your main responsibilities as a Procurement Professional will involve:Coordinating and preparing data in support of negotiations/negotiation strategiesSupporting eCommerce activitiesRaising and/or approving TMRs (Technical Material Requisition)Coordinating and preparing contract handover packsManaging purchase ordersInvestigating and resolving Non-Conformance and Defect & DeficienciesSupporting the change processDocument ControlYour skills and qualifications:EssentialWorking knowledge of MRP/ERM systems e.g. eCommerce, Windchill Experience in a similar supply chain/procurement roleExperience working within the Engineering, Defence, Nuclear, Oil and Gas, Automotive or aerospace industriesExcellent MS office skillsDesirableCIPS Qualification or working towardsExperience of dealing with raw material contractsWorking towards HND/HNC or degree or equivalent work experienceWhat were looking for in you:You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to influence and build positive strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
