Principal PLM Engineer Pay Rate £39.11 PAYE / £50.27 Umb 6 Month Glasgow, Working from Home During CovidAdvantage Resourcing are working in partnership with a global manufacturing company who operate within the Shipbuilding Defence industry who has an opportunity for a Principal PLM Engineer based on a 6 month contract in GlasgowThe Role* Oversee the PLM system development to ensure its quality as configuration controlled environment, in accord with lifecycle phase requirements.* Lead the implementation of a multiple ship data management solution* Lead the successful implementation of PLM processes and controls, through targeted development activity.* Actively assure compliance of programme with PLM and configuration strategies.* Technically coordinate the striking of product baselines (including invoking the change management processes) to support the programme.* Co-ordinate the delivery of the PLM dashboards and technical reporting.Skills and Experience required* Experienced in the analysis/design and implementation of PLM Toolsets including PTCs Windchill, SENERs FORAN and AVEVA ERM.* Experienced in Configuration Management theory, discipline and delivery on complex product development programmes.* Strong understanding of complex engineering product development lifecycles (Naval Ships preferred).* Strong communication skills both written and verbal, and demonstrates strong persuasive/negotiation skills.* Awareness of the business considerations of employing PLM software, such as development methodologies.* Strong understanding of data and information management principles, including an ability to apply them pragmatically.Call Lindsay on for full details quoting reference 839295 Advantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.
