Job Description

Principal Engineer - Requirements & AcceptancePrincipal Engineer - Requirements & Acceptance. £48-56k. Glasgow. Hybrid & Flexible working. My client, a global defence company based in Glasgow, are looking for a Principal Engineer - Requirements & Acceptance with an excellent understanding of requirementsdevelopment and management practices, to join an exciting and expanding team. As a Principal Engineer - Requirements & Acceptance with an excellent understanding of requirements development and management practices, you will be working as part of a team ofhighly experienced, passionate and innovative engineers assisting in the development and management of project requirements and assisting the Subject Matter Experts to develop evidence to demonstrate to the customer that the requirement have been met. Thisis an exciting senior level position that will provide you with a challenging role whilst allowing you to develop your skills, learning from the experienced engineers around you.You will:

  • Lead management and maintenance of requirements using requirements development practices
  • Lead management and maintenance of requirement compliance details
  • Lead management and maintenance of the requirements associated Assurance / Acceptance characteristics
  • Act as the senior point of contact with customers and internal design teams in assigned areas on engineering matters, to resolve relatively complex problems and issues and to maintain awareness in both parties of priorities and objectives
  • Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their development
  • Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority
This role would suit someone with experience of system engineering with solid experience of requirements and acceptance management.Your skills and qualificationsRequired:
  • Excellent understanding of the engineering lifecycle
  • Excellent understanding of requirements development and management practices
  • High level of understanding of configuration management principles
Desirable:
  • Excellent level of competence and capability with requirements management tools and techniques is highly desirable
