Various clinic locations.We have two fixed term vacancies for 12 months, each for a forward thinking Principal Clinical Psychologist, to join our small but friendly Alcohol and Drugs Recovery Service (ADRS) psychology team. The posts are part of a well-established psychological therapies service, providing an opportunity to work in an integrated health and social care addiction setting. The posts involve providing input into a locality-based community services for individuals with alcohol and drug problems. You will play a key role in the provision of a high quality, evidence based clinical psychology service, working individually, and in groups, with clients who present with alcohol and drug problems and co-morbid mental health conditions. You will also provide advice, training and consultation to other staff to support the delivery of psychosocial interventions and psychological therapies in the context of a matched stepped care model of delivery. You will have a key role in supporting staff to deliver psychologically and trauma informed care and treatments. You will be expected to contribute to the development of the ADRS psychology service and participate in research and audit, in line with service priorities. You will be encouraged to develop a specialist clinical interest and continued professional development is strongly supported. We co-ordinate the addictions teaching component of, and have close links with, the Glasgow University Doctorate Course in Clinical Psychology. You must be registered with the HCPC as a Clinical Psychologist.
