As a member of the Guild of Architectural Ironmongers and the National Associationof Shopfitters, George Boyd are committed to exceeding customers expectations.The overall purpose of the role is to support the Commercial Manager in delivering profitable market share growth and lead national plans, including competitor benchmarking and supplier price increase landing. To own the DC commercial document and ensureit is maintained and utilised and improve pricing consistency across the brand whilst helping to grow sales through digital platforms by ensuring visible pricing is competitive.Role Accountabilities

  • Lead and drive the profitable growth of the brand
  • Facilitation of appropriate interventions with colleagues, by influencing behavioural change
  • Build rapport and develop relationships with Category Managers and Directors
  • Work in conjunction with Category to identify margin enhancing opportunities and ensure price file is up to date.
  • Work collaboratively with the Inventory Manager to execute new ranges and support the branch network and DC with Market Credible Pricing.
  • Working closely with key stakeholders (E.g. Business Development Managers, BMs, Customers) to identify, share information and develop plans around market opportunities and challenges
  • Act as a leading member of the commercial team in determining the commercial landscape locally whilst also retaining awareness of the national picture
  • Provide visible support for key branches/sales opportunities, and assist with sensitive low margin or high volume orders and enquiries.
Required Experience and Qualifications
  • Full clean driving license as travel and overnight stays will be required
  • Degree level educated or equivalent working experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer literate with expertise in excel, Power point and Smart sheet
  • Knowledge of customer / financial performance, risk management and understanding of financial statements is desirable
  • Able to demonstrate excellent relationship management and networking skills
  • Ability to identify and implement performance goals, priorities and to recommend measures
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills, able to constructively challenge
  • Demonstrable delivery of commercial success and good business acumen
